Brand origin

In 1999, before the establishment of the Guan Pei, it was just a roadside red-bean cakes vendor with a simple setup under a parasol on the sidewalk which was located opposite the main post office in Gangshan dist, Kaohsiung city. With the co-founder couple’s commitment to quality and passion for their business, their products have won support of many loyal customers.

Thanks to the support of their customers, the couple’s dedication to “quality” has grown stronger. Serendipitously, they were invited for the first time to set up a vending booth at the Guan Miao Service Area on No.3 National Highway in Taiwan, and thus,“Guan-Pei” the brand was born. By this opportunity, they gave serious thoughts about the need to establish their own brand and image. In the early stages, the company set up stores in major department stores and food plazas. “Guan-Pei Enterprise Co., Ltd.” was officially founded in 2003 and the brand “関北紅豆餅 Guan-Pei Adzuki Cakes” was established. They also built a central factory in 2004. In the same year, the newest central factory was established in Yan Chao District, Kaohsiung City with ISO22000 and HACCP certifications obtained in 2013. The factory is equipped with standard machinery, a professional production team, logistics, research and development, and inspection units, all working together to enhance product safety and ensure food hygiene.
